About Me

I’ve always believed that stories have the power to change perspectives. My own story has shaped the way I see the world, and it’s why I do what I do today.

After studying at university, I began my career in Sales with Cisco, where I was fortunate to meet customers across industries and learn how technology connects people. It was fast-paced, target-driven, and rewarding, but it was also during this time that my life changed in ways I could never have imagined.

I suffered a traumatic brain injury

While in Las Vegas on a work trip, I suffered a traumatic brain injury that led to epilepsy and aphasia (a speech and language disability). Suddenly, communication, the very foundation of my career in sales, became my greatest challenge. I quickly realised how unprepared most organisations are when it comes to including people with disabilities. Despite my skills, I felt isolated and sidelined.

1 in 5 people live with a disability

That experience made one thing very clear: businesses are missing out on a huge percentage of society by not being inclusive. Roughly 1 in 5 people live with a disability, yet too many organisations fail to adapt, understand, or make space for that talent.

Accessibility is Crucial

Rather than stepping away, I chose to channel my creativity into a new direction, photography and videography. Behind the lens, I found a new way to tell stories and connect with people. Today, I utilise my skills not only to capture stunning images and films, but also to emphasise the importance of accessibility and inclusion in the business world.

On this page, you’ll find a glimpse of my journey, footage from before and after my injury, stories of where I’ve been, and the work I do now. My aim is simple: to help businesses realise that inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s an opportunity they can’t afford to miss.

If your business is looking to progress and share awareness of accessibility, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s explore how your organisation can benefit from including more people with disabilities, whether through creating accessible products or hiring more diverse staff. I’d be more than happy to have that conversation and to bring my perspective as the disabled photographer and videographer you’ve been searching for.
